Casa 129 is a creative studio for lovers and makers of experiences, founded by Jerry Adam Guzmán. We blend strategy, brand, and spatial thinking to work at the intersection of hospitality, culture, and place, shaping ideas, environments, and cultural initiatives that bring people together.

Inspired by 129, the founder's childhood home, where community and care were a way of life, Casa 129 carries forward a tradition of making people feel seen and welcome through moments and environments that honor place and connection.

Based in San Diego, Casa 129 works across Southern California, the US–Mexico region, and on projects in New England and Northern Michigan. We collaborate with clients and creative partners across regions, providing creative direction and strategic guidance for hospitality and cultural work.

THE FOUNDER
Working at the Intersection of Culture, Community, and Place

Starting as a graphic designer, Jerry Adam Guzmán’s work has evolved across print, digital, and environmental design into a broader practice centered on strategy, culture, and place. As a director of a community-based non-profit, he led arts and culture initiatives that contributed to neighborhood revitalization. As a creative lead, he developed interior design strategies for luxury hospitality projects, expanding into spatial thinking at a larger scale while guiding teams across California and Hawaiʻi.

Jerry is the founder and creative director of Casa 129, a studio operating at the intersection of brand, space, and cultural experience. His work focuses on shaping ideas, environments, and initiatives that bring people together and strengthen the cultural fabric of communities. He collaborates with organizations, developers, and cultural leaders to guide thoughtful, place-based work through creative direction and strategic insight. In 2024, he completed his Master of Design (MDes) in Brand Design & Strategy at ArtCenter College of Design, refining his approach to integrating strategy, design, and cultural understanding into cohesive, meaningful work.

Jerry is committed to philanthropic and community development efforts in arts and culture. He serves on the board of Bread & Salt and helped shape the Imperial Circle, a community-led giving group focused on reinvestment along Imperial Avenue. He is also a patron of the Sherman Heights Community Center, continuing his family's long-standing support of social and cultural programs.
